How do pre-booked rides work for HEVO drivers?

Accept, prepare for and complete scheduled HEVO rides.

During HEVO’s initial relaunch, riders are being asked to book ahead. A pre-booked ride has a future pickup date and time. Accept one only if you can make the pickup and complete the trip.

Find and accept a booking

A new scheduled request may appear as an alert in HEVO Driver. If you miss the alert, check the Preorders section for requests still available to you. Open a request and review the pickup location, date and time, and the trip information shown before tapping Accept. Confirm the success message if prompted.

Once a driver accepts, the rider is notified and the request is removed from other drivers’ available preorders. A notification for an already accepted job may remain on your phone; check the current status in the app rather than relying on the old notification.

Prepare for pickup

Review your accepted booking in HEVO Driver, allow app notifications and plan your route so you can be at the pickup point on time. Check the app again before leaving: the rider may cancel or booking details may change. Keep your phone charged, connected to mobile data and able to share its location.

At pickup, use the app’s arrival action when you reach the rider. Confirm you have the right passenger, then start the trip in the app when they are with you. Finish the ride and follow the payment prompts at the destination.

If you can no longer take the ride

Cancel promptly using the action in HEVO Driver so the booking can return to the search for another driver. Do not leave an accepted ride unattended or wait until pickup time to act. Review any cancellation information shown before confirming. If you need help, use the chat button on this help centre and include the booking date, time and approximate pickup area.
